W Motors is officially launched in July 2012 at a private VIP and media event held in Beirut, Lebanon, following which the headquarters are established in Dubai, UAE in early 2013.

Universal Studios selects the Lykan HyperSport as the hero car to be featured in its infamous movie franchise, The Fast and The Furious, with actor Vin Diesel and the late Paul Walker stepping behind the wheel in box office blockbuster Furious 7.

ICONIQ Motors, the China based manufacturer launches with a mandate to develop electric Smart Passenger Vehicles (SPVs) to address the mass electric vehicle needs of the Chinese market. >


2017
W Motors launches its Flagship Gallery in the heart of Dubai’s upscale City Walk district and unveils its second hypercar model, the Fenyr SuperSport.


2019>
W Motors and ICONIQ Motors unveil their inaugural autonomous vehicle, the MUSE L5 at the Shanghai International Motor Show, a collaborative project with a global community of automotive experts and visionaries. >


2020
His Highness Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, Chairman of Dubai Silicon Oasis Authority (DSOA), laid the foundation stone for the W Motors Automotive Facility in Dubai Silicon Oasis, UAE, the first manufacturing facility of its kind in the Middle East with an investment of $USD 100 Million.


2021>
W Motors consolidates its operations bringing together design and engineering with manufacturing under one roof at its temporary facility in Dubai Silicon Oasis. The temporary facility would see the first GHIATH production vehicles manufactured in the region. >


2022
Leveraging its extensive automotive expertise and experience, W Motors partnered with Dubai Police to create and develop the GHIATH Program, showcasing the company's capability to provide comprehensive solutions centered around security, defense, and smart technologies.


2024>
In October 2024, W Motors inaugurated its cutting-edge automotive facility in Dubai, UAE, built to house the company's headquarters, design and engineering center, R&D incubator, assembly and production lines, as well as the region's sole automotive-focused composites division and a flagship showroom. With a manufacturing and assembly capacity surpassing 7,000 units annually, the factory supports the production of all vehicle models, including electric and autonomous vehicles, in line with the UAE's Net Zero by 2050 Strategic Initiative. >
